Creating a new user login with a custom user role prevents successful application login, while the default role functions properly

Have you attempted to execute the SQL directly to examine the specific error? It's possible that the issue stems from the driver, as this appears to be a generic exception.

Seems like this issue stems from limitations in SQL Server. An error was reported from SQL Server Management Studio.

This issue has been addressed in the upcoming Patch 10. As discussed, the latest patch contains the fix. Ensure to apply all the DLLs.
